NB Real Estate acting for The Sylvia Young Theatre School, has acquired the long leasehold interest of 1 Nutford Place, Marylebone, W1 from the Portman Estate for £6.5 million. The property comprises approximately 16,000 sq ft net and was formerly occupied by the Eleventh Church of Christ Scientist. A further 15,000 sq ft will be created within the building’s existing auditorium to further cater for the School’s growing demand for space. A lease of 75 years was agreed with a 15% geared ground rent of £75,000 pa. The Theatre School will relocate from their existing premises in Rossmore Road NW1 during the next academic year.
